This scarf has a lovely lace edging on one end and a wispy lace weight on the other.
When finished this scarf measures approximately 81cm x 7cm (32 inches x 6 3/4 inches).
You will need:
2 100g balls of double knit yarn.
1 50g ball of lace weight yarn.
Knitting needles size 4.5mm (UK 7. US 7).
Method:
Cast on 38 stitches with the double knit yarn.
K2, *K2tog twice, yfwd K1 twice, yfwd K2tog twice*, repeat from * to * to the last 2 stitches, K2.
Repeat this for every row until the scarf measures 76cm (30 inches). (Or continue knitting to make a longer scarf. Remember, you may need extra yarn).
Change to using the lace weight yarn.
Knit 5cm (2 inches) of garter stitch to finish off the other end of the scarf.
Bind off.
