Method:
Cast on 100 stitches.
Knit 50 rows of garter stitch.
Reduce – K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (Repeat, reducing 2 stitches per row until you are left with 60 stitches).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (58).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (56).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (54).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (52).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog, knit across row until last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. (50).
Knit 1 row.
K1, K2tog across the row; K2 tog (33).

Bind off.
Thread ribbon through both edges of the shrug to tie the front together.
