I’ve sewn a vintage style skirt with my cotton floral fabric and used Aurifil 12wt thread in 18 different colours to embroider some of the flowers.
The Aurifil 12wt thread is great for embroidery, hand quilting and appliqué.
I also used the Aurifil 12wt thread in pale pink to sew the hem of the skirt. I used big stitch utility quilting technique to make the hem stitches part of the design.
The fabric I used was my Fairytale Pink Bluebells.
