Bluebell Wrist Warmers

Knitted in bluebell rib stitch.

You can also make a Bluebell & Crocus Cloche Hat, Bluebell & Crocus Poncho and a Bluebell Scarf.

You will need:

Bluebell colour double knit yarn.
Knitting needles size 6mm (UK 4. US 10).

Method:

Cast on 37 stitches.
Row 1 – P2, *K3, P2*. Repeat * to the end of the row.
Row 2 – K2, *P3, K2*. Repeat * to the end of the row.
Row 3 – as row 1.
Row 4 – as row 2.
Row 5 – P2, *yo (yarn over), sl 1 (slip one stitch), K2tog, psso (pass slipped stitch over), yo, P2*. Repeat * to the end of the row.
Row 6 – as row 2.
Repeat rows 1–6 until the work measures 10cm (4 inches).
Make the rib.
K3, K2tog across the row until the last 2 stitches, K2. (30 stitches).
Knit 7cm (2 3/4 inches) of rib (knit 2, purl 2).
Bind off.
With right sides together fold the wrist warmer over and use yarn to stitch the side seam leaving a gap for the thumb. Do this by sewing 10cm (4 inches) from the bottom of the rib cuff up the side of the warmer. Leave a gap. Then sew 3cm (1 1/4 inches) from the top down.
Turn the wrist warmer right sides out.
Make two of these.
