Knitted in garter stitch using large needles, this is easy to knit and creates a gorgeous gossamer texture.
One ball of this type of lace weight yarn is enough to knit a scarf. I made this one shoulder length and had plenty of yarn left. It measures 102cm x 26cm (40 inches x 10 inches). You could of course continue knitting using the entire ball to make the scarf longer.
You will need:
1 25g ball lace weight yarn in gold, amber and cream tones.
Knitting needles size 10mm (UK 000. US 15).
Method:
Cast on 20 stitches.
Knit rows of garter stitch (knit stitches, no purl) until the work measures 102cm (40 inches).
Bind off. (Bind off loosely).
