Raspberry Wrist Warmers

Knitted in raspberry stitch and rib.

You can knit a Raspberry Scarf to match.

You will need:

Raspberry or burgundy double knit yarn.
Knitting needles size 6mm (UK 4. US 10).

Method:

Cast on 38 stitches.
Row 1 – Purl.
Row 2 – K1, *K1, P1, K1 (into one stitch), P3tog*. Repeat until the last stitch, K1.
Row 3 – Purl.
Row 4 – K1, *P3tog, K1, P1, K1 (into one stitch)*. Repeat until the last stitch, K1.
Repeat these four rows until the work measures 9cm (3.5 inches).
Knit the rib cuff.
Knit 6cm (2.5inches) of rib (knit 2, purl 2).
Bind off.
With right sides together fold the wrist warmer over and use yarn to stitch the side seam leaving a gap for the thumb. Do this by sewing 7.5cm (3 inches) from the bottom of the rib cuff up the side of the warmer. Leave a gap. Then sew 2.5cm (1 inch) from the top down.
Turn the wrist warmer right sides out.
Make two of these.
