You will need:

White double knit yarn with a sparkle in it.
Knitting needles size 4.5mm (UK 7. US 7).
Lightweight filler for stuffing.
Sequins and ribbon to decorate (optional).

Method:

Cast on 5 stitches.
Row 1 – KFB (knit through the front and back of each stitch). (You should have 10 stitches).
Row 2 – Knit garter stitch (knit stitches, no purl).
Row 3 – As row 1. (20).
Row 4 – Knit.
Row 5 – As row 1. (40).
Row 6 – Knit.
Row 7 – KFB, KFB, K36, KFB, KFB (44).
Row 8–26 – Knit.
Row 27 – K2, K2tog. Repeat to the end of the row. (33).
Row 28 – Knit.
Row 29 – K1, K2tog to the end of the row. (22).
Row 30 – Knit.
Row 31 – K1, K2tog. Repeat to the last stitch, K1. (15).
Row 32 – Knit.
Row 33 – K1, K2tog. Repeat to the end of the row. (8).
Row 34 – Knit.
Row 35 – K2tog to the end of the row. (4).
Bind off.

With right sides together, sew the snowball bauble together along the side seam using yarn. Sew the top together and pull the yarn to help gather the top.
Turn right sides out.
Stuff the bauble with filler and sew the bottom gap shut, pulling the yarn to tighten and gather the bauble shape.
You can use it as a soft snowball bauble or decorate it with sequins and sew a piece of ribbon on top to hang it up.
