This novelty doorstop is an ideal gift for those who love to knit. I used a sparkly red double knit yarn to create a Christmas ball effect, but you can use any colour of yarn to make it.
You will need:
A ball of double knit or chunky yarn.
A fat quarter piece of cotton fabric (or other fabric of your choice).
Scraps of yarn. Approx 25g.
2–3 small bean bags (little bean bags that are used for games).
Method:
Wrap the bean bags in the fabric to form a ball shape. Stitch it securely.
Wrap scraps of yarn around the ball to cover the fabric.
Then wrap the outer yarn around the ball shape to create a ball of yarn effect. Add a few stitches using yarn and a knitters needle to help hold the finished strands secure.
